Super Bowl Party and Touch Football Game - February 6, 2005

Second only to the clash that 3/4 of the the world be watching on TV, will be the touch football clash that will take place on the soon to be frozen tundra that is the Crusader Main Pitch! The game, which has become as much a part of our Super Bowl party as pork rinds and cheerleaders, will kick off about 2:00pm.
Following that game, we'll head inside for a pre game party which will feature beer and food (chili).
The big game between the NFL's best will kick off +/-06:00pm. As in past years, you'll be able to catch all the multi million dollar commercials as a result of our satellite feed.

Rugby Man's Dinner - Friday April 8th, 2005

This year the month of April plays host to our fabled Rugby Man's Dinner. As the name suggests this function is for the lads only and this year falls on Friday, April 8th. Cocktails will commence at 7:00 with dinner at 8:00. Guest speaker and award presentations follow a lovely meal accompanied by copious amounts of refreshment and laughter. The most-coveted award in the club will be presented this evening as well.

Price is $35, jackets and ties are required for the evening and as anyone who has attended will attest, this event is not to be missed.

Please tell your friends as this is open to all men (sorry ladies!) and you must RSVP to ensure a spot. Payment at the door via cash or cheque is acceptable.

Club Registration Day - 9 am Saturday, April 9, 2005

Player’s dues are the single largest source of revenue the Crusaders draw on. They allow us to put on the programs we do and allow us to continually compete in at the top level of rugby in Ontario. For that reason, it is crucial we get as many fully paid up member as possible every season.

Club Registration Day is held so that ALL Crusaders - Mini, Junior, Women and Senior Men players as well as Social Members are encouraged to come to the club, sign up, fill out the necessary paperwork and to pay your dues!!!

Club officials will be at the Crusaders Clubhouse Saturday April 9 from 9:00am in an effort to answer any questions you have and to get as many Crusaders signed up as possible! For additional information Click here.

Crusaders Family BBQ & Fireworks - the Crusaders Social Committee is proud to present the third annual barbecue and fireworks display Sunday, May 22, 2005, in celebration of Victoria Day. The festivities will begin from 3:00pm on the grounds of Crusader Park, with the now almost legendary BBQ and family games for all and will culminate in a grand display of aerial pyrotechnics (that's fireworks...) after dark. This event is open to everyone so bring along your family and friends and enjoy a fantastic atmosphere. The fee to cover the cost of the BBQ & Fireworks is $20 per family and $5 for a single and all in attendance requested to bring along a salad bowl or dessert. Pop/juice, fireworks & sparklers will be provided for all of the kids.

Volunteers needed!!

Sundowner Party - August 13, 2005

Following on last years successes, we are repeating our Sundowner Party in 2005. The schedule has not been on our side for such a party yet this season so we are all ready and raring to go.

We are looking forward to a full day family affair at the club: there are 3 games versus the Irish being played.

Live music begins at about 4:30 pm and food will be served all day: burgers on the BBQ and then the pigs and sheep from the spit. Anyone who enjoyed the pulled pork last year will be standing in line to enjoy it again.

Horseshoes will be out for kids young and old and look for a cricket match and baseball game with the kids later on. Bring the family and friends!!

Men's Rookie Night -  Saturday, August 27, 2005

Crusader Rookie Night - One of the best nights of the year. The new and young, are introduced to the old and wise, maybe not so wise just old!. In any case, a team the gels early, wins often. Mandatory attendance for rookies. Death Certificates and letters from your doctor are the only exception to the rule! If you miss this night, you really do miss out on making friends that last a lifetime. Start Time 7:00 pm sharp! Leaving from the clubhouse.

Plan on a cab or arrange a ride home!! Please don't drink and drive.

Oakville Waterfront Festival - June 24-26, 2005

Oakville Waterfront Festival - This is a huge fundraiser for the club. The Cru will be providing security at the festival as in past years. They usually have a major live act Friday and Saturday evening. Volunteers are required. Sign up sheets will be posted at the Club in April. 11th Annual GVO -  August 28, 2005

This year the coveted Mustard Jacket will be hotly contested on the fairways and greens (and in the rough and the water hazards) of Indian Wells Golf and Country Club, a beautiful course nestled in the Niagara Escarpment near Mount Nemo.
The cost of this year's tournament is $65 and will include a your green fee, dinner at the Niblick ,and prizes! To reserve your spot in this year's GVO, send an e-mail to Ryan Morrison. As in past years, we are in need of prize donations to the GVO. This is a non-profit, volunteer-run tournament, which provides prizes entirely on the goodwill of its participants and other benefactors. If you, your company, or anyone else you know would like or is able to donate a prize, please contact Ryan again to advise. This is an extremely popular event and space is limited to 32 players. Those spaces will be filled on a first come first served basis so DO NOT delay if you want a spot!

Horseshoes will be out for kids young and old and look for a cricket match and baseball game with the kids later on. Bring the family and friends!!

Crusaders AGM -  Tuesday November 29, 2005

An event that is vitally important to all Crusader members, this is where a review of our year past, both on the field and more importantly of the field, will be reviewed. This is also when we will elect a successive Crusader Board of Directors and will vote as a quorum, on any additions, deletions or edits to the Constitution and By-laws of the Crusader RC.
All Crusaders members are encouraged and expected to attend. This year's AGM will be held at the Crusader Clubhouse and will begin promptly at 7:30. For more additional information please contact Pat Daniels.

Annual Awards Night & Dinner Dance - Saturday January 21, 2005.

This is the time of year when we all get dressed in shirts and ties, very nice dresses and we feel comfortable about bringing our significant others along to meet the other people we play rugby with (you understand why this happens but once a year!).
Truly an enjoyable event, the evening begins with cocktails at 6:30pm, with dinner to follow at 7:30pm. Immediately after dinner, while we enjoy coffee and desert, the awards ceremony takes place. These awards, voted on by the coaches and the players, recognize the contributions of various individuals to their respective teams and to the club as a whole. Very rewarding!

So as not to disappoint, the DJ and dancing will begin approximately 10:30, and will continue till we stop, as usual. Tickets approx. $30 per person, exact cost still to be determined. Ticket purchase can be made by emailing here.

Kids Christmas Party - December 18, 2005

Jolly ole St. Nick himself makes an appearance at this annual event designed to kick off the festive season in Crusader style! There are plenty of games, crafts and more to keep the kids busy and there is plenty of opportunity for parents to catch up over the off season.
Festivities begin at the Crusader Clubhouse at 9:00 am.

Christmas Skate Tuesday December 27, 2005
