Super Bowl Party and Touch Football Game

Second only to the clash that 3/4 of the the world be watching on TV, will be the touch football clash that will take place on the soon to be frozen tundra that is the Crusader Main Pitch! The game, which has become as much a part of our Super Bowl party as pork rinds and cheerleaders, will kick off about 2:00pm.
Following that game, we'll head inside for a pre game party which will feature beer and food (chili...).
The big game between the NFL's best will kick off +/-06:00pm. As in past years, you'll be able to catch all the multi million dollar commercials as a result of our satellite feed.

Crusaders Curling Championship - Sunday March 28, 2004

In a repeat of a favourite off-season ritual, the club is putting on a limited team curling bonspiel. The number of sheets we are able to procure keeps a lid on the number of teams. Come out and see the skips stumble. The sounds of "Hurry!!!  Hurry HARD!!!" echoing inside the Oakville Curling Club. Will the Boks on Ice turn out to be the next championship team from this rink? Or will they bumble along and go home muttering about ice conditions and if only they hadn't spilled the shooter they'd have won.....Click here to register your team.

Club Registration Day - 9 am Saturday, April 3, 2004

Player’s dues are the single largest source of revenue the Crusaders draw on. They allow us to put on the programs we do and allow us to continually compete in at the top level of rugby in Ontario. For that reason, it is crucial we get as many fully paid up member as possible every season.

Club Registration Day is held so that ALL Crusaders - Mini, Junior, Women and Senior Men players including Social Members are encouraged to come to the club, sign up, fill out the necessary paperwork and to pay your dues!!!

Club officials will be at the Crusaders Clubhouse Saturday April 3 from 9:00am in an effort to answer any questions you have and to get as many Crusaders signed up as possible! For additional information Click here.

Corn Roast and Sundowner Party - Saturday August 28, 2004

In a revival of the traditional one held up north, the club will be doing it here on its grounds this year. We will be coupling this evening a repeat of the Sundowner party of June. Added to the fantastic BBQ we had, we will have corn available all day. Music will be on from 4:30 or so and will continue into the night as happened in June. We hope to have an air-filled jumping area for the kids and will have the new playground up and ready as well. Bring your family and friends. Those who were there in June will tell the others what a terrific day and evening it was. Don't miss the new end of the summer event.

  Halloween Dance -

The night that gives us all the excuse to look as ghastly and gruesome as we want kicks off at 9:00 p.m.: Scary Hour. Why scary you ask? Well that's when our patented "Boo" shooters are available for just $1 (have you ever seen a crowd or rugby players after a few "Boo" shooters? very scary!). The advance scouting report is that the Great Pumpkin will make an appearance yet again!  Get your best gear on and make sure you're creative! There will be prizes for best male, best female and best couple costumes.

Crusaders AGM -  Tuesday November 30, 2004

An event that is vitally important to all Crusader members, this is where a review of our year past, both on the field and more importantly of the field, will be reviewed. This is also when we will elect a successive Crusader Board of Directors and will vote as a quorum, on any additions, deletions or edits to the Constitution and By-laws of the Crusader RC.
All Crusaders members are encouraged and expected to attend. This year's AGM will be held at the Crusader Clubhouse and will begin promptly at 7:30. For more additional information please contact David Nelson.

Annual Awards Night & Dinner Dance - Saturday November 20, 2004

This is the time of year when we all get dressed in shirts and ties, very nice dresses and we feel comfortable about bringing our significant others along to meet the other people we play rugby with (you understand why this happens but once a year!).
Truly an enjoyable event, the evening begins with cocktails at 6:30pm, with dinner to follow at 7:30pm. Immediately after dinner, while we enjoy coffee and desert, the awards ceremony takes place. These awards, voted on by the coaches and the players, recognize the contributions of various individuals to their respective teams and to the club as a whole. Very rewarding!

So as not to disappoint, the DJ and dancing will begin approximately 10:30, and will continue till we stop, as usual. Tickets approx. $30 per person, exact cost still to be determined. Ticket purchase can be made at the bar starting October 1st, or from Paul McKenna.
