Annual Robbie& Clare Paul Corn Roast, Saturday, August 10th, 2002
Another annual Crusader
event that has become the stuff of legend! Imagine, a clear sky, unobstructed
by the glare from the city, revealing every star and constellation to the naked
eye! Now imagine taking all of that in from the comfort of your lawn chair,
being warmed by a bonfire of apocalyptic proportion, all the while sipping your
drink of choice, nibbling on some peaches and cream corn and chatting with all
your best rugby mates!
You see why this is not an event to be missed!
Bring your tent, your drink of choice (CANS ONLY PLEASE) and, if you like, something to throw on the BBQ. Corn will be be provided.
Directions and maps are be available at the bar.
8th Annual Greater Vulgar OPEN - Sunday, August 25, 2002

The cost of this year's tournament will be $60 and will include your green fee,
a spectacular dinner at the Crusaders club house, some complementary beverages
and prizes! Carts are not included in the cost of the tournament, but are available
at the course for a cost of approximately $15 per person.

As in past years, we are in need of prize donations to the GVO. This is a non profit, volunteer run tournament, which provides prizes entirely on the good will of it's
participants and other benefactors. If you, your company, or anyone else you know would like or is able to donate a prize, please contact
Ryan again to advise.

are available for just $1 (you ever seen a crowd or rugby players after a few
"Boo"shooters? very scary!
The advance scouting report is that the Great Pumpkin will make an appearance yet again! $
Get your best gear on and make sure you're creative! There will be prizes for best male, best female
and best couple costumes (we're looking for someone to dethrone the Edwards this year!).
Annual Awards Night & Dinner Dance - Friday November 16, 2002
This is the time of year when we all get dressed in shirts and ties, very nice dresses and we fell comfortable about
bringing our significant others along to meet the other people we play rugby with (you understand why this happens but once a year!)
Truly an enjoyable event, the evening begins with cocktails at 6:30pm, with
dinner to follow at 7:30pm. Immediately after dinner, while we enjoy coffee
and desert, the awards ceremony takes place. These awards, voted on by the coaches
and the players, recognize the contributions of various individuals to their
respective teams and to the club as a whole. Very rewarding!
And what would an event at the Crusader Clubhouse be without a party sized celebration.
So as not to disappoint, the DJ and dancing will begin approximately 10:30,
and will continue till we stop, as usual.
Tickets approx. $30 per person, exact cost still to be determined. Ticket
purchase can be made at the bar starting October 1st, or from
Ryan Morrison.
Crusaders AGM - Thursday November 22, 2002
An event that is vitally
important to all Crusader members, this is where a review of our year past,
both on the field and more importantly of the field, will be reviewed. This
is also when we will elect a successive Crusader Board of Directors and will
vote as a quorum, on any additions, deletions or edits to the Constitution and
By-laws of the Crusader RFC.
All Crusaders members are encouraged and expected to attend.
This year's AGM will be held at the Crusader Clubhouse and will begin promptly
at 7:30. For more additional information please contact Keith
Daniels.
Kids Christmas Party - Sunday December 8, 2002
Jolly ol' St. Nick himself makes an appearance at this annual event designed to kick off the festive season in
Crusader style! There are plenty of games, crafts and even a couple of guest clowns to keep the kids busy and there is plenty of opportunity for parents to catch
up over the off season.
Festivities begin at the Crusader Clubhouse at 9:00 am. For further details,
to confirm your wee one will be there and to find out what you can do to help,
Contact Dee Jutronich - 905.855.9563.
Superbowl Party and Touch Football Game - Sunday January
Second only to the clash
that 3/4 of the the world be watching on TV, will be the touch football clash
that will take place on the soon to be frozen tundra that is the Crusader Main
Pitch! The game, which has become as much a part of our superbowl party as pork
rinds and cheerleaders, will kick off about 2:00pm.
Following that game, we'll head inside for a pre game party which will feature
an open bar and food (chili...).
The big game between the NFL's best will kick off +/-06:00pm. As in past years, you'll be able to catch all the multi million dollar commercials as a
result of our satellite feed.
Rugby Man's Dinner - Friday March 21st, 2003
This is the second time in our social calendar that we get dressed up, only this time it's just the guys!
(just as well with some of the antics!)
The evening begins with cocktails at 6:30 PM, with dinner to follow at 7:30
PM We are invariably enlightened by words of a least one guest speaker, and
the night will be rounded out by answering the burning question, who will take
on the mantel of Wanker of the Year!
Cost for this not to be missed event is a mere $25. As per usual, contact
Ryan Morrison to book your ticket.

Club Registration Day - Sunday April 11th, 2003
Player’s dues are the single largest source of revenue the Crusaders draw on. They allow us to put on the programs
we do and allow us to continually compete in at the top level of rugby in Ontario. For that reason, it is crucial we get as many fully paid up member as possible every
season.
Club Registration day is the day when ALL Crusaders - minis, juniors, women and senior men - are encouraged to come to the club, sign up, fill out the necessary
paperwork and to pay your dues!!!
Club officials will be at the Crusaders Clubhouse from 9:00am until 4:00pm in an effort to answer any questions you have and to get as many Crusaders signed up
as possible!
